Mico Villaran, an 17-year-old trackster from Bacolod City who recently won gold by setting a new national meet record, adds another top podium finish to his Palarong Pambansa 2025 haul with a victory on Wednesday, May 28.

In a video update posted on GMA Sports PH by Bea Micaller (GMA Integrated News), the Bacolodnon athlete can be seen sprinting and jumping way ahead of competition on his way to another gold, this time in the 400-meter hurdles event.

Villaran is fresh from a golden finish in the the hurdles' 110-meter edition on Tuesday.

In the process, the Western Visayas bet broke a 15-year-old record in the said event by registering 14.00 seconds, beating Patrick Unso's 14.68-second tally during the Palarong Pambansa 2010 in Tarlac.
