A new international-standard race track is taking shape in Barangay Prado Siongco, Lubao, Pampanga, which will become the future home of Formula 3 races and car enthusiasts in the country.
The 4.8-kilometer track is designed by Tilke Engineers, a German firm known for its work on the Formula 1 circuit in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Once completed, it is expected to rival famous circuits in Monaco, Singapore, Macau, Malaysia, and the Middle East.
"This is gonna be a club track that will host national races, with 4.8 kilometers, three configurations, drag strips, two club loops, a very interesting pit building—V-shaped—and one of a kind in the Philippines," Hisham Attya, world-class F1 and MotoGP race track architect, said.
The construction is expected to be completed in a year and a half.
Once finished, the project aims to put Pampanga on the global motorsport map, not just as a competitor but as a leading destination for high-speed racing in Asia.
