After lifting the 2025 Philippine Football League (PFL) Finals Series crown, goalkeeper Jun Badelic and defender Ralphie Dabao signed with Melaka FC in the Malaysia Super League.

Badelic and Dabao's entry to the league was unveiled by the club through a social media post along with the other new signings last August 3, 2025.

This would also be the first time that both players will be playing professional club football on foreign soil.

“I want a new challenge. It’s also a dream for me to play in another country. Malaysia Super League is a high level football competition,” Badelic told GMA Regional TV News about his move.

Melaka FC earned promotion to the Super League, the top tier of Malaysian football league system after winning the Malaysia A1 Semi-Pro League last season.

“A move to Melaka FC can push me out of my comfort zone. I took the challenge when the coach called me,” Badelic said.

Despite a winless campaign in the AFC Champions League 2, the Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon native and former Emilio Aguinaldo College team captain showed promise for Cebu between the sticks.

He was named man of the match during their encounter with Muangthong United in Thailand that ended in a 2-2 draw and cemented his status as the PFL’s premier goalkeeper when he won the coveted Golden Glove award last season.

On the other hand, Dabao came from the famed University of St. La Salle football team in Bacolod City or more known as Ceres La Salle during his collegiate career, winning multiple titles, including the national University Games and Private Schools Athletic Association titles.

He made his professional debut with Cebu FC in 2021 and was a mainstay for the gentle giant’s left flank.

In a social media post, Dabao bid farewell to Cebu FC before welcoming the new chapter of his career.

“I cannot express how grateful l am to have been part of this amazing club for four years. This was my very first professional football club, and it has truly become my second home. This club has given me countless opportunities,” he wrote.

"You are not just a club to me; you are like family. Even though I may not share the field with you anymore, I will always support this team. This club will always hold a special place in my heart. I believe it's time for a new chapter in my life. Thank you for everything, @cebufootballclub. Tara Cebu!,” he added.
