A full road closure along six barangays in Lapu-Lapu City has been announced.

The announcement is based on City Ordinance No. 17-002-2025 that authorizes the temporary road closure of certain roads in Lapu-Lapu City in connection with the city's hosting of Ironman 70.3 Lapu-Lapu event. 

The race route (bike leg) will pass through Barangays Punta Engaño, Mactan, Maribago, Agus, Marigondon, and Subabasbas before proceeding to the Municipality of Cordova on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Lapu-Lapu City Government, through the City Traffic Management System, has issued the traffic advisory for the said event.

All motorists are advised to leave as early as possible during the event, especially in the said affected areas. 

All vehicles with transactions or bound for the airport are advised to arrive early to avoid inconvenience and delays.

Event participants are also advised to arrive early to avoid inconvenience and delays.

All motorists, drivers, and other road users are advised to follow the traffic signs installed on the re-routing areas during the event.
