After hosting the 2025 Division Meet, Mangaldan National High School has begun improving its athletic oval to better prepare student-athletes for the upcoming Region 1 Athletic Association (R1AA) Meet.
The oval was used during the division-wide competition earlier this month, even though Super Typhoon #UwanPH had left parts of the track in need of repair. School officials said the events still pushed through smoothly.
Following the meet, the school continued rehabilitation work.
Workers are also fixing the bench area for spectators and visiting athletes.
The school’s oval will serve as the training ground not only for Mangaldan athletes but also for competitors from other towns under Pangasinan Division 2.
With repairs ongoing, the school aims to provide a safe, standard training facility in time for the region’s biggest student athletic competition.
