Bryan Sajonia and Janti Miller combine for 55 points to lead San Beda’s 91-72 drubbing of Benilde in Game 1 of their best-of-three semifinals on Tuesday at the Araneta Coliseum.
Season 101’s scoring champion Miller registered 29 points and nine rebounds on an efficient 58.8% field goal clip to supercharge the Red Lions’ offense from start to finish.
Pavia, Iloilo pride Sajonia also had himself a good scoring afternoon, converting five threes en route to season-high 26 total points laced with 5 boards and 3 dimes in the winning effort.
The Red Lions torched Benilde with 12 threes on an efficient 43% shooting from beyond the arc– a far cry from the latter’s abysmal 4-for-24 three-point shooting, good for only 16.7%.
