Three athletes from Talisay City, Cebu clinched gold medals in the 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Thailand.

The gold medalists are Raven Faith Alcoseba in the women’s relay, Matthew Justine Hermosa in the men’s relay, and Kim Andrew Remolino with Alcoseba in the mixed relay.

Mayor Gerald Anthony (Samsam) Gullas takes pride in the achievement of the young athletes in the SEA Games, which helps motivate the strengthening of sports programs of the Talisay City Local Government Unit (LGU) to support more athletes that have the potential to compete in international tilts.

Vice Mayor Richard Francis (Choy) Aznar praised the home-grown athletes for representing Talisay City, the Province of Cebu, and the country well in their respective sports events.

The City Council will pass a resolution to honor the three champions. They are set to receive their financial incentive the moment they arrive home.
