With its core intact, Letran looks primed for another strong title run as they kick off their #NCAA101 Women’s Volleyball season with a 3-0 sweep of Arellano.

The Lady Knights worked hard and worked fast in their season-opener against the Lady Chiefs, 25-10, 25-17, 25-17.

Judiel Nitura’s 17 points and four excellent sets stood out in the all-around team win, helping the Intramuros squad mount a 38-25 advantage in total attacks against last season’s bronze medalists.

Letran boasts of a solid core with key holdovers from their runner-up finish in Season 100 bannered by last year’s Best Libero and team captain Lara Mae Silva, former Rookie of the Year Vanessa Sarie, Best Opposite Spiker Judiel Nitura, and veterans Natalie Estreller and Gia Maquilang.

They, however, have a new coach in champion Lady Knight and former NCAA MVP Mayeth Carolino who assumed the role less than a year before the season.

Arellano, meanwhile, are also still with their key cogs from Season 100, with Best Setter Catherine Domasig alongside vets Laika Tudlasan, Sam Tiratira, Harem Ceballos, and Moming Padillon staying put for Season 101.
