Get ready for high-flying stunts and jaw-dropping tosses as the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Season 101 Cheerleading Competition takes place this Thursday, March 12, at 2:30 PM at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Aiming for a seventh straight title is the utterly dominant Arellano University (AU) Chiefsquad, who’s been at the helm of the Grand Old League’s cheerleading scene since Season 92 way back in 2017.
The Lucky San Juan-coached Chiefsquad holds seven NCAA cheerleading titles in total.
Leading the valiant challenge for the throne is the UPHSD Altas Perpsquad—the winningest cheerleading program in NCAA history with nine championships, highlighted by a three-peat from Season 81 to 83 and a five-peat from Season 85 to 89.
AU and UPHSD have been the immovable standard-bearers in NCAA cheerleading since 2012, where the two have alternated dominant streaks and have taken a strong hold of the top two podium spots.
The competition airs on GTV, and is available via livestreaming on the social media pages of NCAA Philippines and GMA Sports PH.
Tickets to the live event are available at SM Tickets outlets and SMTickets.com.
