Arellano University’s seven-peat was unheard of in NCAA Cheerleading. Their eight total titles is only one short of the most in the league. Getting the job done this number of times , they’ve been sticking to the same approach through the years.

Back to 0 kami. Ganun lang yung hunger palagi,” multi-titled AU coach Lucky San Juan told GMA Regional TV News moments after they seized the NCAA Season 101 Cheerleading crown.

San Juan has consistently preached this mindset which he believes has been the driving force in every Arellano title bid. As proof, his troop has remained undefeated in cheerleading since Season 92 in 2017.

In 2025, on the heels of their six-peat run in Season 100, San Juan was also quoted in a Synergy interview suggesting a similar idea, promoting their ‘never done’ mindset.

Kung naka anim na sunud-sunod kami, dadamihan pa namin,” he said.

Another reason behind Arellano’s continued excellence is, according to San Juan, their desire to give the sport of cheerleading better recognition.

The multi-titled coach also dedicated their championship run to his student-athletes and all their families, as well as the entire Arellano community.

The AU Chiefsquad topped the 10-team competition with a total score of 231.

The UPHSD Altas Perpsquad came in second with 221 points, while the Letran Cheering Squad captured the bronze medal after finishing with 199.5.
