The Benilde Lady Blazers’ Zamantha Nolasco and the San Beda Red Lions’ Axel Van Book both took the MVP plums in their respective categories as the NCAA awarded the finest volleyball athletes in Season 101 on Wednesday at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.
SEASON 101 WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL AWARDEES
Benilde star Zamantha Nolasco earned the top prize in the NCAA Season 101 Women’s Volleyball Tournament after steering Benilde to its fifth straight finals appearance. She also won the Best Middle Blocker plum.
This is the fourth time in the last five seasons where a Benildean won the MVP award in the women’s volleyball tournament, following Mycah Go in Season 97 and 100, and Cloanne Mondoñedo in Season 99.

SEASON 101 MEN’S VOLLEYBALL AWARDEES
Axel Van Book made history by becoming the first San Beda athlete to claim the men’s volleyball MVP plum. He supercharged San Beda’s Season 101 campaign that reached the quarterfinal round, which fell short twice against eventual finalists Mapúa.
