Chrisia Mae Tajarros of Eastern Visayas delivered a back-to-back gold medal performance after ruling the secondary girls’ 3,000-meter athletics event and securing the first gold medal in the 2026 Palarong Pambansa regular sports competition.
Tajarros continued her dominance in the event after also emerging as the first gold medalist during the 2025 Palarong Pambansa in Ilocos Norte.
Angel Lumacang of Eastern Visayas secured the silver medal, while Charlen Cos of Davao brought home the bronze.

More than 13,000 delegates from 18 regional contingents and two organizational teams attended the official opening of the 2026 Palarong Pambansa.
Various sporting events will take place in playing venues across six towns and one city from May 26 to 30.
