The Lapu-Lapu Arnis de Abanico team won 13 gold medals, five silver medals, and two bronze medals in the 18th World Eskrima Kali Arnis Federation (WEKAF) World Championships in New Delhi, India.

In Facebook post on August 3, 2026, Mayor Cindi King Chan announced that the team earned the medals on Days 1 and 2 of the full-contact competition, across the cadets, junior boys' and girls', and senior men's and women's divisions in the Single Stick, Double Stick, Bangkaw, Padded Point, and Knife Point events

The championships were held at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium in New Delhi, India.
