GMA Regional TV’s famed Kapuso Fiesta travels to Malasiqui, Pangasinan on January 25 as the proud municipality holds its first ever Pagey (rice) Festival, which will feature the protagonists in the upcoming GMA Afternoon Prime offering Apoy sa Dugo.
Headlining the festivities are Kapuso real-life couple Elle Villanueva and Derrick Monasterio, alongside Apoy sa Dugo co-stars Ashley Ortega, Fonzi, and Toniyuh. Sparkle actors Vince Maristela and Bryce Eusebio, The Clash standouts Anthony Rosaldo and Chloe Redondo, and staple host Pepita Curtis are also set to join the fray.
According to a report by the Philippine News Agency (PNA)– the official news agency of the Philippine government– Malasiqui will observe its first Pagey Festival in celebration of the municipality’s abundant rice farming “amid various disasters in the province.”
The festival is a cultural observance that highlights Malasiqui’s rich agricultural roots and its abundance of palay (rice), known as the municipality’s economic lifeblood and primary product.
The star-studded Kapuso Fiesta arrives in Masiqui, Pangasinan on January 25, Sunday, at 7:00 PM at the Arenas Civic Center. =
