SIBYA
Participants of the 2025 edition of SIBYA competed in at least five categories: TV News Production, Radio News Production, Radio Podcast, Radio Drama, and Public Service Announcement.
Entries were evaluated by sets of judges that included journalism and communication professionals.
Organizers said the 2025 theme, “Waves of Revival,” “signifies our vibrant return to broadcasting, stronger and more influential.”
“This theme is a powerful metaphor for the resurgence of the broadcasting community. The word ‘waves’ represents the airwaves of traditional media—radio and television—as well as the digital platforms where modern voices are now amplified. Meanwhile, ‘revival’ reflects the renewed passion, commitment, and dedication to truthful and impactful communication,” the Junior Broadcasters’ Alliance wrote on its Facebook page.
“Together, these words capture the essence of the event: a vibrant return to broadcasting, stronger, louder, and more influential than ever before. This theme not only celebrates the resilience of broadcasters but also aims to inspire a new generation to embrace the power of media with renewed purpose,” the group added.
