Graduates of two schools in Mindanao topped the November 2025 Licensure Examination for Midwives.

The Tagoloan Community College (TCC) in Misamis Oriental earned the highest rank in the category for schools with 30 or more takers, with all 85 examinees passing the board.

Meanwhile, Mindanao State University-Marawi City dominated the category for schools with 20-29 examinees, also achieving a 100 percent passing rate after all 27 takers from the school passed the exam.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, that 57.60 percent or 2,152 out of 3,736 passed the board.

The examinations were administered in Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

Princessa Dumale Talamayan from Palawan State University-Puerto Princesa ranked first with a rating of 94 percent.

A TCC graduate, Aizille Rose Rabaya, also made it to the top 10 with a rating of 92.65 percent, placing eighth nationwide.

In a Facebook post, TCC said the result marks another milestone for its midwifery program.

“With 85 examinees and a 100% passing rate, our Midwifery graduates have once again proven the excellence, dedication, and heart that define TCC,” TCC said.

“To our new licensed midwives: your hard work, sleepless nights, and unwavering commitment have all paid off. You bring honor not only to your families, but to the whole Tagoloan community. To our faculty and mentors: thank you for shaping competent and compassionate professionals,” it added.

TCC was established in 2003 as a response to the dream and vision of then mayor, now Second District Rep. Yevgeny Vincente Emano, who sought to provide high-quality and affordable higher education to the low-income residents of the town and nearby municipalities.

In 2017, TCC became a partner agency of the UniFAST program under Republic Act 10687, which allowed students to access free higher education.

At present, the number of enrollees has increased under the administration of Mayor Nadya Emano-Elipe, who serves as the school’s OIC-president.
