The top scorers in the licensure examinations for professional teachers in the elementary and secondary levels are graduates of Cebu Normal University, results from the Professional Regulation Commission show. 

According to the PRC and the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT), 21,967 elementary teachers out of 43,035 examinees (51.04%) and 57,729 secondary teachers out of 79,493 examinees (72.62%) passed the LEPT (Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers), given in September and November 2025 at 45 testing centers in the Philippines, Hong Kong, and Thailand.

Of 21,967 elementary teacher passers, 19,924 were first timers and 2,043 were repeaters, while of the 57,729 successful secondary teacher test takers, 52,207 were first timers and 5,522 had taken the exam again.

Christel Zamora De Los Reyes achieved the top score in the licensure exam for elementary school teachers with a 94.40% rating, while Jed Vincent Requilme Abadia was the top scorer for secondary teachers with 94.80%.

The top performing schools for the elementary teacher licensure exam were:

  • with at least 100 examinees: West Visayas State University-La Paz, with 134 of its 135 test takers passing (99.26%)
  • with 50 to 99 examinees: Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology with 78 of its 79 test takers passing (98.73%)

The top performing schools for the elementary teacher licensure exam were:

  • with at least 300 examinees: Cebu Normal University, with 802 of its 822 test takers passing (97.57%)
  • with 100 to 299 examinees: West Visayas State University-La Paz, with 241 of its 242 test takers passing (99.59%)
  • with 50 to 99 examinees: University of the Philippines-Diliman, with all 59 of its test takers passing (100%)
