Graduates from schools outside Metro Manila dominated the top spots in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LET), with topnotchers from different regions leading the rankings in elementary and secondary categories.
The Professional Regulation Commission and the Board for Professional Teachers announced that 18,376 elementary teachers out of 32,796 examinees passed the exam, posting a 56.03% passing rate.
For the secondary level, 45,001 out of 61,561 examinees passed, equivalent to a 73.10% passing rate.
Among the elementary topnotchers, six examinees tied for first place with a rating of 95.00%. They were Ann Kristine Dela Peña Danlag of the University of Southeastern Philippines; Jhade Vine Icot of Cebu Technological University; Lynn Heart Masamayor Luad of Cebu Technological University; Marc Andre Cuizon Saberon of Cebu Technological University; Princess Willah Malingin Yamahon of Bukidnon State University; and Monette Lucernas Yap of Mindanao State University.
In the secondary category, Rashil Rae Ramos Recorte of Visayas State University ranked first with a rating of 95.80%.

The first batch of the LET this year was conducted on March 15 in at least 41 testing centers nationwide, including Manila, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Tacloban, Zamboanga, Butuan, and Cagayan de Oro.
To accommodate more examinees and reduce long-distance travel, the PRC also opened additional testing sites in several provincial areas, including Antique, Bacolod, Bohol, Catanduanes, Dumaguete, General Santos, Kidapawan, Masbate, Romblon, Tagum, and Valencia.
According to the PRC, 15,670 of the elementary passers were first-time takers, while 2,706 were repeat examinees.
For the secondary level, 39,446 passers were first timers and 5,555 were repeaters.
