Another hero has fallen in fight against the deadly 2019 coronavirus disease.

Kapuso actor Jason Abalos mourns the death of his friend, Dr. Leandro Resurreccion III.

Dr. Leandro, Head of Pediatric Surgery Division of Philippine Children's Medical Center passed away due to complications of the coronavirus disease on Tuesday morning, March 31.

Jason and Dr. Leandro, better known as Dr. Jun became friends through their same interest and passion about motorcycles.

The actor paid a tribute to his late buddy through a lengthy and heartwraming Instagram post.

Jason also recounted his fond memories with Dr. Jun when the world was still free of COVID-19.

The actor also pleaded to the public to stay home in order to contain the spread of the contagious virus. This way, people could prevent the loss of their loved ones.

He also took the chance to call out the public leaders to step up their game and provide more effective solutions for the societal issues this crisis has induced.

Dr. Jun is the latest Filipino “fallen hero” who braved the frontlines to fight against the dreadful coronavirus disease.
