'Running Man' star Lee Kwang Soo to undergo surgery after car accident

Running Man star Lee Kwang Soo will undergo surgery after injuring his ankle in a car accident.

According to Sports Chosun, the entertainer injured his ankle in a car accident last February 15. Although he did not suffer any other injuries, his ankle required surgery.

Because of this, he will miss a few Running Man recordings while he recovers.

The announcement was confirmed by Lee Kwang Soo's agency, King Kong by Starship.

The statement read:

“Lee Kwang Soo was in a car accident last week while on the way to a personal schedule. Fortunately, he was not seriously injured, but after conducting a thorough examination at the hospital, it was determined he had a fractured ankle.

“He is now being treated and we will focus on recovering from his ankle injury.

“Please understand that he will not be able to attend his previously scheduled events.

“We will be monitoring his progress and he will focus on receiving treatment for his recovery.”

The Running Man cast, including Kwang Soo, is set to fly to the Philippines on June 2020 for the Running Man in Manila Fan Meet.
