By Maine Aquino

Lauren Young bravely faced her online haters when she expressed her opinion on the country's current situation.

On April 1, the NBI invited Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto to discuss the allegations of violating the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act.

The breaking news sparked countless tweets protecting the young mayor including celebrities like Lauren.

Lauren is one of the celebrities who stood for Mayor Vico Sotto when he was called by the NBI.

She said, "Focus on what's really important: HELPING THE PEOPLE THROUGH THIS CRISIS. Let Mayor Vico do his job (which he is doing so well already 🏻) Akala niyo madidistract niyo kami ah."

According to Lauren, she was called different names after expressing her opinions.

"You can call me laos, starlet or pokpok all you want cus of how I tweet my opinions about our government. But he sought after this position - and I don't agree with what's happening. Sorry if the truth hurts but you can't deny it especially when it's staring right at your face."

She added, "Oh and jokes on you because I genuinely do not care or get affected with what you throw at me. Hahahahaha."

Lauren also mentioned that the government should focus on the COVID-19 crisis.

"Takot na nga yung mga tao because of this virus. Their own government is depriving them of food, their officials are MIA, one was parading about without following guidelines and you have the nerve to scare them even more with violence? WHY? How is that helpful?"

Before she went to bed, she wished the Filipino to have good dreams.
