Just like the explosive revelation in his personal life, Richard Gutierrez will have an explosive comeback in his new film, Overtime. Richard revealed his experiences when he worked on this project and how he felt when he portrayed the role of Dom Garcia.
According to Richard, the script of Overtime is an excellent comeback material for him.
“Nagustuhan [ko] ‘yung script. For the first time in the movie na parang medyo kontrabida yung character ko. Pero, he's fighting for the right thing. His ways and his ideas medyo hindi sang-ayon sa socially accepted na norm,” he said.
Richard declared that he liked the idea of playing the bida/kontrabida role because it is challenging and different from the roles he played in his previous projects.
“Playing the antagonist gives you the opportunity to be creative in the film. Dito, I just changed my ways from the typical bida roles. So it was very fun for me to be creative,” Richard added.
Apart from the bida/kontrabida role that was given to Richard, he also discussed that the character of Dom Garcia is something to watch for.
He shared, “I like what he's [Dom] fighting for. I think he has the right, kumbaga tama 'yung mga ipinaglalaban niya, tama 'yung mga sinasabi niya, pero minsan 'yung ways lang niya impulsive.”
