"There's no better way of spending my birthday. Ako I have no plans but this. Ito naman po talaga 'yung plan ko every birthday celebration, is to spend time with the kids," sabi ni Lovi.

Ayon sa aktres, marami siyang natututunan kapag kasama ang mga bata.

"Ako po honestly, every time I'm so caught up with my own life na I work everyday, minsan routine na siya na babangon ako sa umaga, maliligo, diretso sa set, trabaho, uuwi, ganiyan, routine na siya. And I forget that the world is so much bigger and there's so many things out there that I barely see because I'm so focused on my life," paliwanag niya.

"Just being with the kids now make me realize how beautiful life is. Look at them with the smiles on their faces, with the simple things that they have right now - that reminds me of how life is supposed to be," pagpapatuloy niya.

Dagdag pa ni Lovi, "Kasi parang we try so much to achieve bigger goals when we forget to smile everyday with the simplest things that we have. It's just a humbling experience."

Matagal nang sinusuportahan ni Lovi ang ChildHope Philippines, at aminadong nalulungkot siya sa tuwing nakakakita ng mga bata sa lansangan.

"I don't know how many years but it's been a while na, siguro five. And every time someone would ask me, 'What would you always support?' I would always say ChildHope Asia because I have this soft spot for children sa streets when I see them, because I know they're not supposed to be there, they don't belong there," saad ni Lovi.

Bilib din si Lovi sa mga bata na kahit nasa lansangan ay gusto rin nilang matuto.

"I really look up to the social workers of ChildHope Asia because the fact na they really take time to teach these kids core values, not just academic-wise too because they actually built a classroom somewhere in Manila then. 'Yung mga kids pumupunta talaga sila do'n, kusa silang pumupunta para matuto, and it's by choice," sabi ni Lovi.

"Kasi can you imagine, parang some of them would be out in the streets, asking for certain things. But some of them would go there and learn things that they are supposed to learn in school. And that's why I'm so proud of ChildHope Asia for doing this," dagdag niya.

Mapapanood si Lovi bilang si Alex sa "The One That Got Away" tuwing gabi sa GMA Telebabad kasama sina Max Collins, Rhian Ramos, at Dennis Trillo. --FRJ, GMA News
