“Julian (Trono)’s voice (has) color… Girls will fall in love with him… That’s what (I have) been looking for – young (and) fresh,” said Jack Kim (Heon-Jik Kim) of JU Entertainment Music&Contents.

The Philippine company JU Entertainment Music&Contents, which aims to develop, cast and manage Pinoy artists using the Korean system, has chosen Kapuso star Julian Trono for a series of projects in Manila. Jack, in particular, was drawn to the overall charm of the seventeen-year-old.

“Julian’s cute… And he’s still young. He’s just (a) teenager… Julian (has a) really cute face and (great) style. (He could be loved by) girls in Korea (just as he is loved in the Philippines),” he said.

Filipino talent

Jack, who has worked with different Asian artists, is impressed with the talent of Filipinos that he decided to move to Manila.

“I (have met many) Filipino singers in Korea… There are so many Filipino singers in clubs, in bars. If you hear a Philippine singer, (they will) always wow (you). Now (that I’m) already here, I’m really happy,” he added.

Julian, the rising international star

His search for a Filipino artist to work with has brought him to Julian whom he’s seen develop from a shy teenager that has become comfortable working with new people.

“Now, it’s always fun (having Julian around). But (the) first time, it (was) a real problem because (he was) shy... When he (was) practicing, his voice (was only) small. Now, he’s just singing (while) walking around (even when we’re there),” he joyfully shared.

As part of the agreement, Julian will be flying to Incheon this February with representatives from JU Entertainment Music&Contents and GMA Artist Center for a series of promos and shows.

"Wiki Me"

Jack has already written a song for Julian which the young star has already recorded. It will be released worldwide by GMA Records and JU Entertainment Music&Contents. Titled Wiki Me it will talk about the fun and exciting emotions of teenage love.

Wiki Me (features a) teenage love story… [Those teenagers who are in love], their thinking is really simple, right? 'I want to go to the mall, I want to watch a movie with you, I want to eat with you, only with you,'” Jack imparted.

Pleased with the outcome of Wiki Me, Jack has already written another song for Julian. “We already made new music for Julian. A ballad,” he disclosed.
