Idolizes Bruno

In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, the Kapuso rising star revealed that he regards Bruno Mars as one of his idols and he is crazy about his latest single Uptown Funk. The funk-inducing song has more than 415 million views in YouTube.

He said, “He’s one of the inspirations na tinitingan ko. And Pinoy siya!"

“'Yung evolution niya with music and paano siya nag-grow as an artist na talagang hindi niya hinayaan ma-stuck lang siya sa ballad songs.” Julian added.

Moreover, Julian hopes that someday he can be as versatile like Bruno Mars.

“Nag-explore siya talaga. So 'yun parang I’m looking forward to that, 'yung ganung versatility [tulad ni Bruno]. Sana ma-achieve din natin soon.”

“Kumbaga hindi lang pang pop song, kaya mo din mag-ballad, puwede ka rin mag-acoustic. Puwede ka rin mag house music or whatever.”

When asked if he is planning to do his own version of Uptown Funk, Julian modestly answered, “Sana. Soon. Well let’s hope for the best.”
