Julie Anne San Jose flies to the U.S. tonight

She will be performing for the Filipino community this weekend in a concert arranged by GMA Pinoy TV, GMA Life TV and Vim Entertainment.

Asia’s Pop Sweetheart Julie Anne San Jose is set to fly to San Francisco later tonight. She will be performing for the Filipino community this weekend in a concert arranged by GMA Pinoy TV, GMA Life TV and Vim Entertainment.
One of the things that she looks forward to the most is getting to interact with the Filipinos, as she had gotten the chance to during previous visits to the United States.
“Nakakatuwa talaga [na makausap sila at makapagperform for them] kasi namimiss din nila yung Philippines. Namimiss nila 'yung country, of course 'yung mga relatives nila, 'yung mga friends nila,” she said.
She’s glad to help alleviate the homesickness of the Filipinos there even in her simplest ways.
“Kaya nandyan yung Pinoy TV [is] para ma-i-tour ['yung] mga celebrities from the Philippines to different parts of the world, and especially 'yung mga nasa U.S. so masarap isipin [that you get to be there with and for people who miss the country],” she added.
For her, the joy of being able to bring a part of home to those Filipinos is an honor that she’s blessed to receive.
“[Excited ako na] ma-meet and makita yung mga kapwa [nating] Pilipino 'di ba? Saka ang saya [na mga nakakasalubong mo sa daan, you get to say to each other] ‘uy, kababayan kita ha?’ Basta, nakaka-overwhelm,” she shared.
