"Silently, umiiyak ako" - Julie Anne San Jose's reaction to her bashers

Multi-platinum record artist Julie Anne San Jose recently released her single called Tidal Wave, which she recorded and whose music video she shot in the United States.

At the age of 21, she has reached unbelievable heights in her career. However, as in all great journeys, there have been hurdles to overcome.

Asked if there had been any tidal waves she had to catch, she said that it’s the people who try to bring her down.

“Siguro yung mga bashers. [Nahurt ako nang sabihan ako na] ang lakas daw ng loob ko na mag-concert… eh hindi naman daw ako deserving. O 'yung iba [naman] kino-compare ako sa ibang artists,” she told the press in her pocket interview yesterday.

These comments and bashers have made her strong but she admits to getting hurt and crying over them sometimes.

“Silently, umiiyak ako,” she revealed.

However, she doesn’t see the need to answer them or defend herself to them. She instead endeavors to focus on the people who continuously support her.

“Meron [na] po [akong mga blinock]. Actually, block lang ng block, ignore lang ng ignore. Madami po, madami po talaga. Pero syempre, kapag inisip mo [sila], the more na mas ma-fi-feel down ka so instead, i-te-take mo 'yun as a challenge na pagbutihan pa 'yung ginagawa mo… [at] isipin mo na lang na mas marami yung mga supporters, 'yung mga nagmamahal talaga sayo,” she declared.
