She would strike you as a shy and simple girl, but once she gets onstage, she transforms into a powerful young woman.

Twenty one-year-old Beverly Caimen has had her fair share of insecurity and rejection as she was growing up. Although she had an early head start at singing, it took a while before she finally had her big break.

Though there were many bumps on the road, she made it a point not to give up on her dream.

Kasi syempre po, kapag natatalo, [nakaka-down at discourage minsan].

In 2013, she was sent to Los Angeles as one of the representatives of the Philippines to the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA). The international competition considered to be the ‘Talent Olympics’, was where she was named the Senior Grand Champion Vocalist and Performer of the World, against over 50 of the world’s best.

Sobrang saya po,” she imparted.

Her victory in the WCOPA only paved the way for more opportunities. She is currently managed by multi-awarded composer Vehnee Saturno who helped her bag a deal with GMA Records. Beverly’s is the voice behind the song Maaari,Ba? the theme song of the Koreanovela Two Mothers airing on GMA, also composed by Vehnee.

The soft-spoken and talented singer is grateful to be given the honor.

“Sobrang saya [ko] po… Mas tinutukan namin 'yung palabas eh. Sobrang saya po and sobrang exciting kasi parang first time maririnig 'yung original mong kanta sa TV.
