It’s been a while since Mahal Kita, the previous album of Maricris was released.
“It’s been almost eight years since the last time I released my first album, so this one is really much awaited. I’m very grateful for the people who showed their support all these years.”
2. A more mature Maricris worked on this album
Not only has she grown as an individual, but her musicality and character she brings to her work have also transformed for the better.
“I’m more emotional now than before so I must say I sound more mature now. This new album contains more mature songs that the listeners can easily relate to compared to the first one.”
3. It contains nine much loved theme songs from GMA drama shows
She is the voice behind many of the theme songs of the Kapuso network so it would be nostalgic and quite an experience to have nine of those tunes in one album. The songs include "Ako’y Mahalin" from Destiny Rose, "Ako Na Lang ang Bibitaw" from Carmina, "Iniibig Kita" from Marimar, and "‘Di Malilimot" from Someone To Watch Over Me.
“Everybody can relate to the songs in this album since the songs were used in different GMA teleseryes [whose] stories were all very realistic and relatable.”

This album is special to Maricris as she has learned a lot from working on it and the songs themselves.
“Pangako ng Kailanman is about finding the love of your life in an unexpected time [which is] very similar to my experience that’s why this song became so special to me.”

The now married Kapuso singer has a special investment in the album, most especially the carrier "Pangako ng Kailanman" that she shed tears while recording it.
“Honestly, the first time I heard this song, I felt like it was just like any other love song until the day I recorded it. After I’ve sang the first two lines, I couldn’t help but cry. Nakaka-relate ako ng sobra, that’s why I decided to use the song in my wedding.”
