Migo released his single ‘I Long To Ask You’ last August 15 and this song was inspired by a young yet striking love he encountered when he was 13 years old.

The genre of his first single may be Electronic Dance Music (EDM), but Migo Adecer claims that so many emotions and sentimental experience were poured into his song ‘I Long To Ask You.’

Migo released his single ‘I Long To Ask You’ on August 15. This is also among his earliest compositions, inspired by a young yet striking love he encountered when he was 13 years old.

He shared in an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, “The song is about a friend, a girl that I've met when I was 13. We became close, [had] great fun together. I started to like her, we like each other. It's special, we promised to take things slow [and] let time tell of how we feel then we can be together.”

Migo didn’t have the chance to express what he truly felt before they parted ways since they had to attend different schools, and belonged to different circles of friends. Despite their distance, the GMA Records artist also revealed that her memory stayed with him.

He continued, “Until one day our path crossed again, we spent time together like old times. [It’s like we had] much deeper feelings towards each other, expressive looks and gestures but this time, we're both seeing someone else.”

“We left everything unsaid. We were both sad, in tears. It's like breaking a vow; parting ways again with everything unsaid when it's so obvious that the feeling is there. It's mutual. But, I didn't get an answer to the questions I long to ask her,” Migo added.

He claimed his unexpressed feelings were so hard to contain, Migo diverted them into a song.

“My parents, my family, they always believe in my singing, especially my mom. I don't know how to say, explain to her why I was feeling sad. She caught me crying in my room; that her baby even at 13 got in love and heartbroken even though I didn't have the girl as my girlfriend. It was my mom who first heard my song and she even suggested a few words,” Migo explained.
