How then can you take care of your skin this summer season?

Morena beauty and Unang Hirit host Joyce Pring dishes out some of her best skin care tips during an interview with GMANetwork.com.

Be careful of what you eat

One of the best ways to take care of your beautiful skin during the hot summer days is by making sure that your body gets the right nutrients by eating healthy.

In an article posted at healthline.com, researchers concluded that eating fruits and veggies are the safest and healthiest way to combat dull complexions and fine lines.

Joyce shares that she eats only food that is beneficial to her body and refrain from eating salty foods. “Kailangan lang talaga good intake of food. I think that's the most important thing; lots of vegetables, lots of fruits.”

Water, water and more water

Drinking lots of water is the cheapest way to protect your skin during the summer season.

According to www.uwhealth.org, without a sufficient amount of water in the body, the skin will be prone to drying, becomes tight and flaky. Dry skin has less resilience and is more prone to wrinkling.

Joyce shared that keeping yourself hydrated will also flush out the toxins inside your body. “Ako, personally, tubig lang talaga. 'Yan ang number one! When you're hydrated nawawala 'yung toxins sa katawan mo kasi lagi mo nailalabas, tapos 'yung skin mo mas supple siya,”

Sunscreen is your friend

Prevention is better than cure. So head to your favorite department store or local pharmacy to find the right product to care for your skin.

For Joyce, sunscreen is her number one go-to product to shield her skin from the harmful effects of sunlight as it prevents the UV rays from reaching her flawless skin.

“I like to put on sunscreen... Lagi mong tatandaan na mas okay mag-prevent kaysa mag-cure ng mga problema,” Joyce ends.
