Megan Young's low-key 30th birthday celebration with husband Mikael Daez

To mark her 30th birthday, and Kapuso actress Megan Young took a more low-key approach in celebrating the milestone with husband Mikael Daez.

On Instagram, a bare-faced Megan is seen dining out with Mikael at Gubat, one of their favorite restaurants at the UP Campus at the Diliman Bonsai Society.

According to the actress, what she loves about the place is its policy of simply using the hands when eating.

She wrote, “What I love about this place is that there are no utensils -- magkakamay ka lang.

“We ordered adobo, fish, and TWO orders of Lechon kawali. The buro side dish is also THE BEST THING EVER.”

She then thanked the restaurant servers as well as fans and friends who didn't forget to greet her during the special day.

“Thank you to all the lovely ladies of Gubat who always have such a bright aura and who bring happiness to everyone that enjoys their meal at the restaurant. They made my day extra happy.

“P.S. Thank you so much for all the birthday greetings!!!”

Earlier that day, a shy Megan is seen on Mikael's Instagram after she called out her husband for missing not greeting her.

He wrote, “Happy birthday Boneezy [Megan]!! Pasensya na po talaga at late ang greeting ko by THREE WHOLE MINUTES!!!

“Hirap talaga ng buhay ko. Napakademanding ni jowa-bels… ay wait… asawa-bels na pala.

“Labyu! Next year, sisikapin ko na two minutes na lang #AnyImprovementIsSTILLimprovement”
