A message for fathers from a mother, Maggie Wilson asks dads to teach their sons compassion and kindness.
With Father's Day just around the corner, former beauty queen and model Maggie Wilson asked for a small request from all the fathers who will celebrate the occasion: to teach their sons how to be compassionate, respectful, honest, accountable, and kind.
The message seemingly alludes to the issues between her and former husband, Victor Consunji.
Maggie recently posted a series of pictures of her and their son, Connor, on Instagram. She accompanied the said post with a message asking all fathers out there to teach their sons valuable lessons.
“Teach them how to communicate. Teach them to be real men so their future partners can feel safe. Raise them to be good and be someone they can be proud of,” she captioned her post.
Maggie also revealed in her post that she has been receiving questions as to why she's not having a second child yet and her answer was, “not yet.”
“I believe in resolving issues before bringing another child into this world. I will only think about getting married again once the conflict is settled. I refuse until there is peace,” she said.
She added, “I refuse to put my son through more trauma. He doesn't deserve that. I refuse to have him adapt without proper communication. That is simply unfair to a child. I want my son to feel safe. To feel loved and to be able to love, feel and speak without fear.”
Maggie revealed that she got to this decision after spending time with “someone who always says he is not ready for children because he feels deep accountability and responsibility for their future.”
The former beauty queen said that she will “patiently wait” for everything to finally calm down and said that she would do so even if it means she's no longer able to bear a second child.
However, she shared that she still believe in love, and that “everything will fall into place” one day.
Maggie and Victor got married in December 2010 and had their son Connor in 2012. However, in September 2021, Maggie announced in an Instagram post that she and Victor have already split.
