Joyce Ching and her husband, Kevin Alimon, showed how they find out about their pregnancy in a vlog. Watch here:

Sparkle star Joyce Ching is going to be a mom!

Joyce announced the happy news by posting a video on her Facebook page. At the start of the video, taken on March 1, she and her husband, Kevin Alimon, said they've been trying to have a baby for a while now.

While the actress said she's five days delayed, she also noted, “Pero irregular kasi talaga ako at talagang normal as 'kin na delayed ako.”

Kevin, meanwhile, shared a prayer before they did a urine pregnancy test, “Lord, we pray na we're pregnant and it's twins.”

They saw a faint line in the testing kit but decided not to celebrate yet, and tried it again the next day, March 2. But when Joyce saw that it was still a yes, they decided to look for an ob gyne (OB) and they did a transvaginal ultrasound.

However, they were told it was still too early to see anything.

“Pero kasalanan naman namin kasi sinecret namin e, so wala kaming pinagtanungan, so wala kaming idea kung paano namin ina-navigate 'yung mga nangyayari sa buhay namin. Nagdesisyon lang kami, 'Sige, hanap tayo OB online,'” she shared.

Joyce said having a close relationship with an OB-GYNE doctor was helpful. Then, she related the ultrasound result, which her doctor said it was great that the endometrium lining was thick since it gives a good chance of pregnancy.

“Pagpunta namin dito, nag-aalangan pa kami kung buntis kami kasi nga, too early pa tapos wala namang nakita sa ultrasound. Parang medyo meron pa ring... parang half-half pa rin kahit nag-positive na sa pregnancy test ng urine,” she said.

She added, “Depende pa daw 'yun kung magde-develop 'yung mga something-something."

On March 15, Joyce had another check-up. Unfortunately, the ultrasound did not reveal anything other than a gestational sac.

On March 26, Joyce and Kevin finally got their prayers answered.

“The baby is here! We are seven weeks and three days pregnant,” she said.

Joyce revealed that she wanted to cry in the doctor's office and even asked them if she could cry there.

“Kasi nakakahiya 'pag bigla na lang akong lumuha dun. Pero feeling ko naman sanay na 'yung mga doctors du'n na nakikitang umiiyak or emotional 'yung mga tao. Kasi sinabihan din niya si Kevin, e, 'Ikaw ba iiyak ka na rin ba?'” she said.

At the end of the video, in a voice-over, Joyce said it was the longest month they had to go through.

“We didn't want to assume or celebrate anything right away but after days and weeks of waiting, we were finally sure we were having a baby,” she said.

Now that they are four months pregnant, Joyce asked her followers and fans for a simple prayer for them, “Please keep us in your prayers. Your expecting parents, Kevin and Joyce.”
