It's a prayer come true for Joyce Ching and husband Kevin Alimon as they revealed being pregnant was in their "prayer list" this 2024.
Kapuso star Joyce Ching revealed that she and husband Kevin Alimon prayed to get pregnant this 2024.
On January 1, Joyce and Kevin had a date wherein they talked about the past year and their "prayer list" for 2024.
According to a photo she shared on Instagram, there are three things Joyce and Kevin wrote on their January 1 date -- "Baby, Be Healthy (Lifestyle), and Financial Breakthrough)."
Slowly, they began to build healthy habits together as soon became running buddies. A photo she shared has a date of March 1, 2024.
On the same day, since she was already five days delayed, Joyce took a pregnancy test to make sure they were allowed to do physical activities. Fortunately, the test came out positive.
"Pero irregular ako talaga ako at talagang normal sa 'kin na delayed ako," she said in their vlog.
Kevin added that they prayed for twins before Joyce took a urine pregnancy test. "Lord, we pray na we're pregnant and it's twins," he said.
The next day, on March 2, Joyce and Kevin went to the hospital. However, the doctor didn't see anything as it was too early to see anything that time.
She said in the same vlog, “Pero kasalanan naman namin kasi sinecret namin e, so wala kaming pinagtanungan, so wala kaming idea kung paano namin ina-navigate 'yung mga nangyayari sa buhay namin. Nagdesisyon lang kami, 'Sige, hanap tayo OB online.'”
After more tests, on March 26, it was finally confirmed that she was pregnant.
On her Instagram post detailing her pregnancy journey, Joyce reminded wives and aspiring parents that they all have different timelines.
She wrote, "To all the other wives or mamas out there, we may all have a different timeline, but we do have the same God. Let us all keep on believing and praying."
Joyce and Kevin tied the knot in an outdoor garden wedding ceremony in Baguio Country Club in December 2019.
