Carlos Yulo has made history with his triumphant win at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
He won two gold medals - in Men's Floor Artistic Gymnastics and Men's Vault Artistic Gymnastics, making him the first male Filipino Olympic gold medalist and the first Filipino to win two gold medals in the Olympics.
The 24-year-old Olympian has been receiving an outpour of congratulatory messages, but one that stood out was his family's message, particularly from his younger siblings and father Mark Andrew Yulo.
Carlos's younger brother, Karl Jahrel Eldrew Yulo, is following his brother's steps in the world of gymnastics. Earlier this year, he won his own gold medal in the juniors finals of the vault event in the 2024 Asian Gymnastics Union Artistic Gymnastic Championships in Uzbekistan.

In an interview with Balitanghali, Eldrew congratulated Carlos, "Ang galing mo Kuya, bilib na bilib ako sa'yo. Alam ko naman na kaya mo 'yan. 'Yun lang, proud na proud po ako sa'yo."
Meanwhile, Iza Yulo, who joined the 2023 Junior Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships said, "Congrats, Kuya. Proud na proud kami sa'yo, sobra."
Carlos's father Mark Andrew Yulo briefly addressed the alleged family conflict involving Carlos and his mother Angelica Yulo. "Congrats, 'nak. Love you, too. Sana mag-usap-usap tayong family matapos na 'yung ano natin...hindi naman masyadong problema, na hindi naman totoo. Sana mag-usap-usap tayo, mag-bonding tayo, magbalikan na lahat. God bless you, and congrats 'nak. Laban, Pilipinas."
