Jennylyn Mercado and Mommy Lydia with Alex Jazz


Jennylyn Mercado paid tribute to her late adoptive mother, Lydia Mercado, on Mother's Day.

On Mother's Day, Jennylyn Mercado dedicated an original song to his late adoptive mother, Lydia Mercado, whom she fondly referred to as "Mommy Lydia."

The Descendants of the Sun lead actress sang "Kung Andito Ka Pa," composed by Nar Cabico, with Zsaris Mendioro on the CoLove stage. The song was first released on the former's YouTube channel on November 21, 2019.

"This song is dedicated to the person who raised me as her own. I miss you, Mama," Jennylyn said in a Facebook post.

"Para din po sa lahat ng naranasan na mawalan ng mahal sa buhay o malayo sa piling nila, sana ay magustuhan n'yo ang kantang ito and may we remember them together [heart emoji]. #HappyMothersDay," she added.

Jennylyn's Mommy Lydia died on October 29, 2016 due to sepsis secondary to pneumonia. She was 74.

Mommy Lydia is the sister of the Kapuso star's biological mother, Jinkee Pineda.
