As a Father's Day tribute, Kapuso singer and comedian Nar Cabico and his brothers performed a special song for their father.
Nar and his brothers Audie and Bong adapted the song "Leader of the Band" by Dan Fogelberg to tell the story of their father.
Through the song, they described him as a music-loving man who became a soldier. They also recalled the strict yet loving way he raised them.
The brothers came together virtually, as Nar is in Texas, Audie is in the Middle East while Bong is in Zamboanga City.
Nar posted the video of their performance on his Instagram with a message for his dad.
"Para sa Tatay naming ang pang-gising ay Electric Guitar at amplifier, eto'ng surprise namin sa'yo! Mahal ka namin lagi, kahit hindi Father's Day. Enjoy mo 'to, gawa mo 'to e hehehe. We celebrate you today, our one-of-a-kind Papa," he wrote.
He went on to thank his brothers for joining him in the performance.
"I'd like to introduce my brothers, Kuya Audie from the Middle East and Kuya Bong from Zamboanga City. Salamat mga kuya labs, damihan pa natin ito!," he continued.
Nar also dedicated the song to all fathers in the world.
"Here's a Filipino Adaptatunes of this classic. 'Yung lyrics po ay hindi directly translated, but adapted sa kung ano ang naging istorya namin. Sana magustuhan n'yo! Cheers, mga Daddies all around the world!" he ends.
