Rica Peralejo shares her excitement in homeschooling her son Philip Nathaniel
Actress and vlogger Rica Peralejo, who has been stranded in the United States with her husband and kids since March, has been religiously updating her more than 800,000 Instagram followers about their situation there.
One of her updates is about her firstborn Philip Nathaniel, who is about to start his journey as a Grade 1 student.
On her Instagram post last July 5, Rica couldn't help but turn emotional that her baby boy is growing up so fast.
She said, “I actually have a first grader in my house.
“When this boy turned one, the theme of his party was 'Time flies when you are having fun.' And we zeroed in on FLIES because in less than a year he has flown to six different countries. It was so easy to take him around and he is still a very easy kid to be with until today.”
Although they are still stuck in California due to the global flight cancellations brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, Rica is facing the challenge of homeschooling Philip with excitement.
The proud mom added, “We are entering yet another stage in our lives and wow, it feels like all those years flew by again. Where did they go? Why so fast? Where's my toddler who used to crawl around with sticks or stones or an ear of a corn around the house?
“Homeschool game on for all the moms and kids today (in the Phils) and tomorrow (here in the US)! We can do this.”
Rica also shared Philip's first day of homeschool last July 7 and didn't notice that it was a short day for both of them.
“First day of first grade done!!! Grabe ang excitement ko, medyo over para sa sobrang ikli lang pala ng araw namin. Nagulat ako na biglang tapos na. Hahaha!
“Homeschoolers kamusta first day niyo??? Ako, halata bang sobrang puyat ng itsura ko??? At wow, ayaw mag PE ng anak ko magisa. Sama daw kami ng kapatid niya. Haha. Omg. At that point gusto ko na sana magnap eh.
“But we ended up having fun. And we are both grateful and happy that our day went well. Thank You Lord!!!”
Rica and Joseph Bonifacio welcomed Philip Nathaniel into their lives in January 2014, four years after they got married in 2010.
