Toni Aquino shares how changing her looks affected her life

By Maine Aquino

Toni Aquino wrote a lengthy post describing how she made some changes in her life recently. The daughter of Ruby Rodriguez also mentioned that this was hard to admit, but she is slowly accepting what is happening in her life.

She said, “I just had a realization quite recently and it has been one hell of an eye opener. To be able to acknowledge this was heavy for me but now that I am slowly accepting it. I feel like things are falling into place.”

Toni admitted how she changed herself before.

“I wasn't the woman I truly was before. I wore make-up more often than I would like to (which people close to me know that I'd rather go bare faced), I listened to the music I know I wouldn't usually listen to and like things I typically wouldn't. It wasn't me.”

She also mentioned how she changed her style in clothes, shoes, and her hair.

"My look changed drastically especially my hair - I kept dying it lighter like I was trying to look blonde. Looking back at old pictures of myself and I noticed that I would always have bangs (full bangs, side bangs, you name it kinda bangs) and dark hair the lightest it would go was brunnette with highlights. I dressed differently too. I noticed I had more high heels than sneakers which I was taking as - 'oh I am just growing up that's why' but time and time proved that I'd trade my heels for sneakers any day.”

In this post, Toni shared that her bangs and dark hair are back. She also added that she felt like herself again after doing this.

“I feel more myself than I have ever did. Dying my hair back to its dark color and getting bangs was a FREAKING POWER MOVE I TELL YOU! It basically just flipped a switch in me and I felt that shift and my goodness it feels so damn good to be me again. I just felt like I woke up from some kind of coma and well - I survived that coma.”

Toni also stated that she learned some lessons along the way.

“Don't get me wrong, I've grown and learned my lessons but to that little 7-year-old me who always wore band shirts, listens to rock music, likes skulls, everything dark, horror movies and supernatural (my love for this show is insane) - thank you for never fading away and to the 16 year old bubblegum princess who likes pink, pop music, mermaids, uses cute emojis and who occasionally dresses up and beats her face (make-up)- thank you for mixing in.”

The former actress said that she is happy to be back to her old self.

“[Twenty two] and still growing but I am happy to say that I can now head bang to my rock music and then later be dancing to some new hit and no one will think that it's weird how I just went from rocker to dancer in .5 seconds. I can now dress up in baggy t-shirts and not care but also sometimes clean up good.”

She added, “I can be the darkest bubblegum princess I am.”

“Toni, it's good to have you back.”

Last September, Toni graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences. She also discussed last September that she ended her relationship with ex-fiancé, Rick Centurion.
