Alex Gonzaga pens a sweet birthday message for her ate Toni Gonzaga

TV host and vlogger Alex Gonzaga penned a heartwarming birthday message for her ate Toni Gonzaga, who turned 37 yesterday, January 20.

In her Instagram post, Alex, who recently announced her marriage with Mikee Morada, shared to her followers what kind of sister Toni is to her.

She shared, “Most of the time i would hate you for being so overly protective of me but would always end up loving you more because I would realize you just want the best for me.

“Thank you for always taking care of me sisss! Swipe to see. Happy birthday! Love u! - you're OG panganay”

Toni's family life

Before moving to her current home network in 2005, Toni was a mainstay in the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga.

In the “Harsh Comments by Alex Gonzaga” vlog in 2018, Toni shared the biggest lessons she learned being part of Eat Bulaga.

"Ang natutunan ko dati sa Eat Bulaga, ang hosting daw is presenting your personality and who you are to the world. It's presenting who you are, with conviction na dine-deliver mo 'yung what is asked of you to tell your audience.”

She also appeared in the flagship gag show of GMA-7, Bubble Gang, wherein she worked with creative director and multi-awarded comedian Michael V., Ogie Alcasid, and Antonio Aquitania.

She tied the knot with her then boyfriend director Paul Soriano in July 2015, after more than seven years of being a couple.

On September 30, 2016, she gave birth to Severiano Elliott Gonzaga-Soriano.

The year 2020 is very memorable for Toni's family, especially with Alex finally marrying her non-showbiz fiancé, Lipa City councilor, Mikee Morada in November 2020.

Alex revealed in one of her vlogs the reason why she kept the wedding with Mikee from the public for a couple of months.

"I am very, very sorry, netizens, if hindi ko na-i-share sa inyo agad ang nangyari. It's because we want to celebrate together as a family muna. Siyempre, alam namin 'yung timing din and alam namin na may pandemic so we just want to keep it [to] ourselves for a little a while to celebrate."

Since confirming the nuptials, Alex has been actively sharing some details of her wedding including her bridal shower, which was designed by Gideon Hermosa.
