Chesca Garcia and Doug Kramer reveal three failed IVF pregnancy attempts
Doug and Chesca Kramer revealed to Tunay na Buhay host Pia Arcangel that their attempts to conceive via in vitro fertilization (IVF) have so far been unsuccessful.
But the celebrity couple is not giving up, and in fact, will exhaust more efforts to make their dream of having another baby a reality.

IVF is a procedure that helps couples with fertility problems get pregnant.
It is done by harvesting eggs or ova from the woman and having it fertilized by the man's sperm outside of the woman's body.
The resulting embryos will later on be implanted into the uterus of the same woman or a surrogate.
Chesca and Doug got married in 2008 and the couple currently has three children, namely: Kendra, Scarlett and Gavin.
After giving birth to Gavin in 2013, Chesca underwent tubal ligation, a procedure that prevents pregnancy by inhibiting the egg cell from traveling from the ovaries to the fallopian tubes and simultaneously blocking the sperm cells from making its way up to the egg cell through the fallopian tubes. This is done by either cutting or tying the fallopian tubes.
In one of his Instagram post in 2019, Doug explained that Chesca's last two pregnancies took a toll on her body and the smart thing to do was to have her ligated.
And fast forward to six years after Gavin's birth, Chesca and Doug finally decided that it's time to try for Baby No. 4.

On March 7, 2019, Chesca announced on IG that they're journey to conceive their fourth baby had begun.
She said at that time they already began the first of nine to ten injections, which will stimulate the ovaries' egg production, so that the eggs could be harvested in the following few weeks.
And now, March 2021, the celebrity couple revealed to Tunay na Buhay host Pia Arcangel the sad news, that they've already had three failed IVF attempts.
Doug said, “So, for the past two years--or a year and a half--we've had three failed IVFs na.”
He added, “We decided after a long time. Gavin was born in 2013. So, we were set na parang 'Okay, three kids. Let's enjoy our time with our kids. And then 2019 came and parang, 'Parang I want to have a baby again.'”

The Team Kramer's patriarch also revealed that this year might be their last chance to try for another baby.
“But this year would be probably--I don't know if it's our last hurrah--but we're gonna be doing everything a little more extensively. More details…so, yes, we're trying talaga.”
Doug also emphasized how much their whole family wants to have a new addition to Team Kramer.
He said, “The kids also, they all want to have a baby sister, a baby brother.”
Chesca then said, “If God wills it, it will happen.”

During the interview, the celebrity couple also shared the greatest lesson they learned in life, which actually still rings true to this day, now that the couple is praying for another baby.
Doug said, “God's timing is always perfect. No matter what ups and downs you will experience--whether it's a storm in your life--just remember there's light after darkness. There's sunshine after a rain. And for us, all in God's perfect timing.”
Chesca added, “And while you wait, you wait in obedience and in faith.”
