Getting ligated shouldn’t affect your menstrual cycle

If you’ve gotten ligated and somehow, your menstrual cycle has turned irregular, Pinoy MD resident OB-GYN Dr. Raul Quillamor advises for you to see a doctor.

“Walang kinalaman ang ligation sa regularity ng menstruation,” Quillamor said.

Ligation is a form of birth control where a woman’s fallopian tubes are tied and cut. “Hindi naman nakaka-apekto ng hormone production yung pag-ligate,” Quillamor continued.

“So kung hindi maganda ang flow ng menstruation mo, ibang dahilan niyan. Hindi yung pag-ligate.” — LA, GMA News
