EXCLUSIVE: Heart Evangelista to do interior design of dad's house in Sorsogon

Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista has revealed that her father Reynaldo Ongpauco is building a house in Sorsogon.

At first, her dad's trip to Sorsogon was just for a visit but he soon fell in love with the place.

"He went to Sorsogon just for a vacation and then he fell in love with Sorsogon. He started to buy places in Sorsogon. He's building his first house which is already done, finishing na lang," Heart shared in an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com.

"Talagang na in love siya doon. They also say that he's legendary there with all of his kwentos. He has a lot of friends na there," she added.

According to Heart, her dad's decision to stay indefinitely in Sorsogon was also heavily influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting lockdowns.

She feels that her dad, who is a senior citizen and has completed radiation therapy back in 2019, will be safer from the dreaded disease in the province.

"We wanted him to go to try out Sorsogon because nga it was very safe and very controlled there. I feel like they're doing such a good job with that. I felt that since he's just stuck at home, I wanted him to move around more," Heart explained.

Her siblings were also very supportive of their dad's move.

"They're actually very happy. I mean, I think that's the direction now also--for us to have a place in the province because of what's happening. I don't think it's gonna go away for a while," she said.

In a previous vlog, Heart showed a bit of the construction going on her dad's home. Heart has also volunteered to do some interior designing for the house.

"When I return, I'm actually going to put furniture and wallpaper and all of that. I'm vlogging that," she said.

She plans to make the house look bigger and brighter.

"I'm a maximalist but then I wanted everything to be all white--mirrors, all white. Wallpapers will only be in the room. It's not a big house but then to make it big we put a lot of mirrors on the walls," she shared.

Heart is set to star in an upcoming series called I Left My Heart In Sorsogon.

The show will have some scenes that will be taped in the province, as well as in Manila.

Heart will star opposite leading men Richard Yap and Paolo Contis in the show.
