Independence Day is right around the corner, what better way to celebrate than showing some love for our culture.
Case in point, beauty queen actresses Megan Young and Venus Raj together with actor Xian Lim joined the Philippine Independence Day celebration in New York City, wearing traditional Filipiniana with an American twist.
The three stars wore outfits created by fashion designer Cherry Samuya Veric. According to the Filipino designer, Megan's dress blends "Filipiniana with the New York icon, the yellow taxi." Meanwhile, Venus wore a dress that "pays tribute to the Filipiniana and the landmark newspaper, the New York Times."
Xian was clad in a classic barong tagalog together with the two muses during their New York City parade.
