Ruru Madrid is spreading the word on PAGASA's important weather announcement.
Black Rider star Ruru Madrid () is doing a public service on his social media account as he reminds people of the upcoming start of the rainy season--and he's doing it with his shirt open.
In one of the more recent posts on his Instagram account, Ruru posted a couple of photos and a short clip of him wearing an open long-sleeved shirt. Writing as Elias, the character he plays on Black Rider, Ruru wrote in the caption: “Ayon sa PAGASA -- transitioning na po tayo sa tag-ulan.”
For the record, Ruru is correct. Less than a week ago, PAGASA (Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration) did indeed declare that the country is transitioning into the rainy season. According to the government body, there is a 65 percent to 75 percent chance of La Niña starting this June and continuing to strengthen until the end of the year.
In the comments of the post, Ruru's fans and Instagram followers expressed their admiration for the star, supported his new pairing with Nimfa played by Angeli Khang, as well as counting on Black Rider to win more awards as the show progresses.
Black Rider has definitely been collecting awards, with most recent being recognitions from the 18th Gandingan Awards. The show was also recognized at the 2024 New York Festivals TV & Film Awards with a bronze medal, with Ruru offering the win to the Filipino people.
