The celebrity-entrepreneurs and brothers-in-law created the app with the goal of helping Filipinos “rebel” against the sedentary lifestyle that many have developed during the lockdown and start living healthier with the help of their app.

On his Facebook post, Erwan shared how his own lockdown experience became an inspiration in creating the app.

“I've never lived such sedentary months, basically sitting on a chair all day, except for casual 30min walks and a one hour at home workout.

“My body hasn't responded very well to these changes [sprains, general fatigue, iso weight], but it doesn't matter, health should never be about looks, but about how you feel.

“When we created Rebel, it was with the goal of helping everyone pursue their best self.”

Basically, the app will serve as your personal coach--not only for working out, but also for eating healthy and taking care of your mental health.

And speaking of coaches, Nico also emphasized on his Instagram post that Filipinos need not look for advice or fitness solutions outside of the Philippines.

“It is why with @erwan, we decided to create @rebelwithus, to get together the best Filipino trainers and teachers to create videos of workouts, yoga, meditation, and all around 360 fitness! To create this community to push us to be a better and healthier version of ourselves!”

SWEAT

The app currently has 200 plus videos you can stream, including a variety of workouts that would suit people of every fitness level, from beginner to advanced level.

They have high intensity cardio workout, low intensity exercises, yoga, muscle toning, bodyweight, dance workouts and even martial arts.

They also have 7-day, 15-day, and 30-day programs that you can follow, and workouts specifically targeted for abs and glutes.

Plus, they will be uploading new videos and programs every week.

EAT

Get into holistic eating with quick and affordable recipes you can cook using ingredients readily available in the Philippines.

Plus, get nutrition advice from registered nutritionists.

CARE

Looking after your mental health is just as important as eating healthy and working out.

So, the app also has guided meditations, self-care and motivational talks, sleep aids, rejuvenating stretch sessions, and recovery exercises.

The app is free for download and available for both Android and iOs devices.

So, if you're ready to rebel against anything getting in the way of your fitness journey, you know what to do.
