How to make vegetable soup as seen in 'The Secret World of Arrietty'

By Marah Ruiz

The Secret World of Arrietty is a 2010 animated feature film from the famed Studio Ghibli.

It is based on the 1952 novel The Borrowers written by English children's book author Mary Norton.

It tells the story of tiny people who secretly live in the walls or under the floors of a house. For their everyday needs, they "borrow" things from the humans living in the home.

In the animated film, the titular Arrietty is a young Borrower who befriends a human boy named Sho.

In one of the scenes in the movie, Arrietty and her family are seen eating vegetable soup made from ingredients which they borrowed.

Food vlogger Kristin Lagman shared a recipe for the vegetable soup as seen in the film as part of her A to Z Ghibli Food series.

Here's how to make it.
