Enjoy the food from this popular night market at home

Starving but bogged down by the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ)? We have some good news for you.

Mercato Centrale, Metro Manila's popular evening food market and business incubator, has come up with an initiative to support its partners and serve customers in the face of another hard lockdown.

Through the Mercato United Kitchen, customers can conveniently order from their favorite food vendors and have the meals delivered to their doorsteps.

Among the more than 15 food vendors customers can choose from are Above Sea Level PH, Bounty Sprouts, Capa's, Chef Rocky's Kitchen, Harvest Cafe & Bistro, Green Meat Hub, Ibarra's Kitchen, Kahatea PH, Khuttz Diner, Kuranosuke, Pares Express, Pizzadidi, Takoichi, The Cheesecake Factory, The Gourmet, Tipsy Cream Manila, Wild Smoke, and Zubuchon.

As a bonus, customers can order from multiple vendors and be charged a single delivery fee.

The Mercato United Kitchen embraces the so-called cloud kitchen system where customers can access multiple food vendors in one place. Think of it as a food court but with no dine-in services and utilizes technology for delivery or takeout.

Cloud kitchen allows budding restaurateurs and startup food ventures to test and run their concept at a minimal cost. Likewise, a cloud kitchen provides small and medium food businesses a platform to broaden their reach through digital means.

For Mercato Centrale, this latest move is yet another innovation and pivot to the new normal business model brought by the ongoing pandemic.
