5 places where you can get Korean egg drop sandwiches

If you're one of the many people who watch the popular K-drama Hospital Playlist, then you probably already know about Korean egg drop sandwiches, which were featured regularly on the show.

Named after the restaurant that created it, the egg drop sandwich is made up of scrambled eggs, cheese, ham or bacon, wedged between slices of a toasted brioche bun and then topped with the restaurant's special egg sauce.

If all of this makes your mouth water, there are a number of restaurants in the country that have the vest delicious sandwich on their menu.

Egg Drop MNL

It doesn't have a physical location just yet, but Egg Drop MNL was actually one of the first stores to start selling the sandwiches here. They're extremely popular, with limited slots for orders.

Looking at their menu, it's easy to see why. Their offerings include a garlic bacon cheese sandwich that has garlic brioche bread, cheese bacon, and an egg signature sauce. There's also the classic breakfast spam and egg, which is brioche bread, cheese, spam, and an egg signature sauce.

Sunny Side Manila (New Manila, San Juan)

The Sunny Side Manila egg drop sandwiches are divided into classic and premium selections. The classic ones range from the ham-egg/bacon-egg kind to the egg salad-kani variety. Premium sandwiches, on the other hand, include soft shell crab, truffle steak, and garlicky prawns.

The seller also has two bestselling premium sandwiches, the Kyoto and Saitama Tamago Drops. Momo Korean Egg Drop (Granada Street cor Santolan Quezon City)

Momo Korean Egg Drop's Instagram is certainly one of the best curated among the stores that sell the sandwich, which is no surprise that a little over a month since its launch it has already got more than 6,000 followers.

Its menu currently consists of five sandwiches named after some of South Korea's most prominent locations. The Seoul sandwich features Spam, mango, a Momo egg and sauce, and cheese. Aside from the Momo egg and sauce, the Jeju sandwich also has premium ham and avocado. Busan has tuna and tomato, while Gwangju has premium bacon and corn. Lastly, the Itaewon sandwich has chicken and pesto aside from the Momo egg and sauce.

Smash Buns (NS Amoranto Senior Street in Quezon City)

Customers who want to get their Korean egg drop sandwiches from Smash Buns will be spoiled for choice, as the restaurant has eight varieties to choose from. These include the Double Spam Cheese, the Avocado Ham Cheese, and new additions Mrs. Tune Pesto Cheese and Yangneom Chicken.
